领导人. 提倡. 冠军.

活跃的领导人 - Social work students at Creighton University are active 领导人 in and out of the classroom.  Students often select double major or major-minor combinations with social work.  The curriculum is built so that students can declare the major and start with major classes in the sophomore year or even the summer prior to the junior year and still be on target to graduate in four years.  Students are encouraged to study abroad if this interests them, with the sophomore year and/or the spring of the junior year fitting with the social work curriculum.

Social work education is experiential, with community-based learning.  Our courses utilize guest speakers, in-class activities, service-learning, pre-practicum of 40 hours in a community agency, and a senior agency-based practicum from August-April leading to graduation as well as post-graduation preparation.

Social work is in the Department of Cultural and Social Studies within the 文学院 and 科学.  Social work students develop the skills needed to create a more just world.  The embodiment of the Jesuit charism Magis, “the greater good,” Creighton social work students integrate professional skills with the Jesuit charisms at Creighton integrating: Finding God in all things, Faith that does justice, and being men and women for and with others.
